Year 4 Before School Change Of Drop Off Arrangements

As the autumn has progressed, access to the school playing field before school has become more difficult for the Year 4 children. The ground is often wet and muddy and there is insufficient play space for the children to play.

As a result, we have created a play zone for the Year 4 children on the main playground. As from Monday morning (9 November), parents in this year group should bring your child to the main playground via the car park entrance. The new play zone will be marked clearly and explained to the children on arrival.

This will not affect children in Year 1 and Year 2, who will continue to arrive via the pupil gate next to the school field.

Whole School Pantomime Fun

We hate the thought of missing out on Christmas fun at Crescent School and many the classes enjoy going to the theatre at this time of year, so we have decided to bring the Pantomime to the children through a company called Panto on-line:

Peter Duncan, a critically acclaimed Panto Dame, Writer and Director, has decided to use his own 'Giant' back garden to film Jack and the Beanstalk - a socially distanced pantomime complete with ingenious sets, fabulous costumes...and even a real beanstalk!

They promise boos, cheers, ‘he’s behind yous', a sing-a-long song and all the classic panto antics that we love.

All classes will have opportunity to get fully involved in the final week of term.

Hope4 Fundraising Update

Harvest 2020
Thank you so much for all your online donations and food dropped off in local supermarkets, to support the Rugby Foodbank this year. It has been fantastic to see out Tree of Thankfulness blooming with leaves from all classes and seeing the ongoing generosity from our Crescent families.  What was also noted, was the number of families who donated online via the giving page - a safe and easy way to support such a worthwhile cause.

Non-Uniform Day
The children all looked fantastic in their Hope4 colours of red, blue and yellow! Thank you again for supporting the fundraising for Hope4 and our ongoing focus of 'Keeping warm this winter'. As the weather turns colder, it is important that we are all aware of those less fortunate than ourselves. From the games arranged by our School Council and the non-uniform donations we have already raised £365!

The School Council will be meeting soon to discuss ways in which we can add to this total before Christmas - so watch this space!
