Crescent U11s A vs Crackley U11s A
Crescent U11s got their football season off to a flyer with a resounding 4-1 win against Foundation rivals Crackley. Although dominating the first half, Crescent were only able to find the back of the net once, Timi crossing well for Ed G-H to slot home to leave it 1-1 at half time. The Crescent side really found their scoring boots in the second half however, Timi bagging an excellent hat-trick to leave the final score 4-1.
Joint players of the match were Timi for his superb strength and finishing, and Shiv for his fantastic defending and crossing.
Crescent U11s B vs Crackley U11s B
The U11s B side played with real grit and determination in their first match of the year, narrowly losing 1-0 despite their excellent defending throughout. Ollie, Harry and James worked fantastically as a team at the back, keeping out attack after attack, but unfortunately Crescent were just unable to get the ball up the other end and put any pressure on the Crackley goal.
The whole team developed well as a side, Ollie taking the player of the match award for his stalwart defending.
Crescent U10s A vs Crackley U10s A
The U10 A side put on a very polished performance to open their season, playing very attractive, passing football, and linking well throughout. They came out as very comfortable 2-0 winners, Zac grabbing the first and Maxi sealing the win with a spectacular long-range effort from the halfway line (see David Beckham against Wimbledon in 1996).
Player of the Match could have gone to any single member of the side, all playing with real desire, skill and determination, but on this occasion was awarded jointly to Maxi and Aryaan, the latter for his superb defensive display.

Ed W was undoubtedly the player of the match having scored all 4 of the teams goals, although Max also deserves a special mention for his dogged midfield battling.
