Class 3S English

This week Class 3S have been learning about different types of shape poems. A particular favourite was calligrams, where the word is written to reflect its meaning. Here are some of the children’s great ideas both in the planning stages and the finished articles.  We had lots of fun!

Class 4C English

In English, we've been planning, drafting, editing and improving our writing in the style of David Walliams. We used role play to develop our ideas and applied our developing understanding of how to use dialogue to portray character.

Class 5F Boardgames Mapping

At the end of our topic on maps and mapping the Year 5 children had a go at making board games using the skills and knowledge that they had learnt. They came up with a wide range of themes and designs which you can see in the pictures below. The children also had a chance to play each other’s games and decide which ones worked the best.
