Headmaster's Message
I have to say I have been tremendously impressed with the work of the Friends of Crescent this term. From movie nights to bake sales to bazaars and parent social occasions, all of the events they have organised have been well thought out and planned, and genuinely designed to enhance the broader life of the school.
It has been an equal delight to see the progress of the two nativity plays, including a full dress rehearsal for Nursery and Reception yesterday. We have gradually progressed from shy whispers to expressive voices, full costumes, dance moves, and growing confidence that I hope won't suddenly whither away when they are confronted by a sea of parents' faces on the big day. I have even heard the odd Italian accent (not a Roman guard, but Caesar himself) for true dramatic impact. Everyone has a part to play, and of course they can't all be Mary or Joseph, and it promises to be great fun to watch.
As I write, the staff here are hard at work preparing end of term reports for the children, with the exception of Class V who will get theirs next term, and I have the pleasure of reading these and adding a comment or two where I can. These will be with you before the end of term, so please do keep a look out for them. You will of course receive official notification by email before we send the hard copies out.
Enjoy your weekend everyone.
