Food Collection for Rugby Foodbank and Hope 4

From Wednesday 27 October Harvest donations (non-perishable items please) can be brought to the school.  Please leave them on or near the FoC table and they will be transported into the hall by Year 6 children later in the day. In past years it was our custom to ask for decorated baskets and boxes of goods, but as donations are going to a combination of Rugby Foodbank and Hope 4 this year there is no need to do this. As well as the usual tins and packets, donations of toiletries will also be gratefully received and they can be brought into school in boxes or carrier bags or as individual items.

Junior da Vinci Presentation

Thank you to all those who attended the presentation on the Junior da Vinci programme on Monday afternoon. I had some lovely feedback about how excited children were about this reward system and I look forward to your continued support on this.

For those who wish to look through the PowerPoint again and for those who could not make it, the slides are available on request for you to peruse at your leisure.

Lens Trained On Crescent School

Crescent School pupils and staff showed their best sides off to good effect earlier this week when professional photographer Marcus Perkins travelled up from London to spend the day at school on a photo shoot for with our Marketing Team.  This is the second time Marcus has visited the Crescent and his lovely images feature extensively in the new Foundation prospectus and websites.

Marcus' busy schedule saw him focus his lens on pupils from Reception to Class VI taking part in a range of activities from whole school assembly, to bead threading, reading in the new library and tackles on the rugby field.

Thanks to everyone for their co-operation. The pictures will grace the school website and marketing materials and we look forward to seeing the fruits of Marcus' labours in the next week or so.
