Junior da Vinci - Parent Information Session

Thursday 17 November 2022 at 7.00pm on TEAMS

Are you interested in learning about the Junior da Vinci award system at the Crescent? It is implemented across school to allow all children to be recognised for being the best that they can be in all areas of the curriculum and beyond. The da Vinci scheme runs across the Princethorpe Foundation and we will be extremely lucky to welcome Helen Pascoe-Williams from Princethorpe College, who will outline how the da Vinci scheme originated and the philosophy behind it, as well as learning how the da Vinci scheme works specifically for Crescent learners

Please join Helen Pascoe-Williams and myself on Thursday 17 November at 7.00pm on TEAMS. This has been changed from an in-person event, as published in the calendar.

Odd Socks Day - 2022

Friday 18 November 2022

On Friday 18 November,  we are encouraging all staff and pupils to wear, colourful odd socks to recognise the importance of Anti-Bullying Week 2022. The premise of 'Odd Socks Day' is to celebrate the fact that we are all different and it reinforces our School Promise focus of, 'We respect everyone, and we are tolerant'.

Mr Thackway will be sharing the school's approach to bullying and what it actually means in assembly and our form teachers will commit time during their PSHE lesson to discuss what this means for our children, by completing some activities to help them explore this important focus.

Odd Socks Day will not be a fundraising day within school but an opportunity for staff and pupils to stand together in solidarity in supporting the importance of Anti-Bullying Week.

For further information, please check out the website: What is Odd Socks Day? (anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk)  We look forward to welcoming your colourful, odd socks next Friday!
