Class VI Venture To See The Jungle Book

Class VI went to see The Jungle Book live at Royal and Derngate Theatre, Northampton last Friday. A big thank you goes to Class VI pupil Matthew Browne who has very kindly provided a review for this week's Courier:

"The play started with a thrill, an exuberant jump, a little scene of a little cabin song.

After that the young child left the home into the forest the songs came loud and clear from all of the singers and the clever idea of using crutches as the front two legs for the wolves.

All the music was great from the singers to the musicians playing in the background (some of them, which is amazing, also were the actors performing at the same time.)

The set could turn giving a literal 360 degree view of the set and the actors.  One thing that was so good was the originality of it with no original songs.

All of the characters were fantastic, Baloo especially who gave a jolly feel to the play which made it even better, so that is why it was such an amazing performance."
