Headmaster's Message

Dear Parents and Friends of the School

I very much hope you have enjoyed a restful and enjoyable Easter break. Hopefully this has involved spending some real quality time with your children, even though you may have been hiding in your houses for some of it waiting and hoping for the rain to abate.

The good news is, the forecast for the weekend is a lot brighter and I have enjoyed watching the ground staff marking out the field for the summer activities. The warmth in the air and the blossoms on the trees give us a sense of hope and new beginnings, which is what spring is all about.

On a spring theme, thank you very much to two very helpful parents, Mrs O'Connell and Mrs Beecham, who came into school during the holiday period to prepare our new wildflower raised bed next to the school field. They have done a very tidy job I must say, and we now await some lovely little seedlings emerging out of the soil and hopefully attracting all of those pollinating insects that play such an important role in the biodiversity of the environment.

Hopefully this mini-edition to the Courier will give you all the key information you need for the return to school on Monday and you should also by now have received hard copies of the school calendar for the term. As usual this is chock-a-block with fun and educational activities for you and the children to look forward to. I hope very much to meet up with you all at some point during the next week or so and, in the meantime, wish you all a peaceful weekend.
