School Promise

School Promise Rule Of The Week

For a two or three week period this year we will be focusing on one of the sayings in the School Promise. We will talk about this in assembly and in form period. It would be great if you could discuss this with your children at home and support the messages we are emphasising in school.

This week’s promise is an excellent one to start the year with and is in the category of Good Friends:

‘We are kind to each other’

Good Citizen Ro Donates Hair

Our Head Boy Rohan had long hair last year. Over the summer Rohan showed what a Good Citizen he was by having his hair cut and donating it to the Little Princess Trust.  The Trust is a charity that uses hair donations to make wigs for children who have lost their hair for medical reasons.  The minimum length of hair they want donated is 17cm, Rohan managed 29cm!! He was inspired by Charlotte who did the same a few years ago.

Well done Rohan!

Good Citizen - Bella’s Snowdon Trek

On Wednesday 7 July Bella and her Dad climbed Mount Snowdon in aid of the charity Follicular Lymphoma Foundation. Together they raised an amazing sum of £3,751.13.

The trek was nine miles with a total climb of 975 m (3,199 feet) and took approximately six hours.  Bella did an incredible job, and even when the weather turned and it rained heavily, she carried on regardless and made her parents very proud.

Amazing Bella well done you.

Good Citizen Chloe Raises Money for RSPCA

Chloe wanted to raise money for charity, so she decided to offer her help: she walked people’s dogs, posted their mail, worked an allotment and also made and sold real lemonade and food. Chloe raised over £153 for the RSPCA (England & Wales) and also donated £10 of her own money.

Well done Chloe!
