Hello, I’m Samantha Wood, your new FoC Treasurer and I am also the mummy of Charlotte in Year 1.

I’m originally from Yorkshire and moved down this way for work. Crescent School has such a wonderful community feel to it and the parents as well as staff have been so welcoming.

I want to help the FoC in it’s ambition to support the school in building on the activities it offers and look forward to helping in whatever way I can.

As an experienced NHS Business manager, I hope that I can put some of my skills to good use.

Following the success of Active October each class has been given £125 to spend on additional activities during Privilege Time. This was rounded up to £150 following the kind donation by last year's Year 6 parents who donated their cancelled leavers event deposits. 

We were thrilled to present half of the money raised to Rugby charity, Hope4, which along with the two non-uniform days amounted to £1742.80. 

Does anyone have a spare laptop or tablet that they would be happy to donate to Project Homeschool Rugby - a local initiative looking to provide home learning equipment for disadvantaged children in Rugby.  More information on the scheme can be found here:

If you are able to offer any equipment the school is happy to accept tablet or laptop donations and will pass them on. The Laptops need a minimum operating system of Windows 8. It is also important that they are restored to factory settings and any important data cleaned off (Crescent School cannot accept responsibility for equipment that has not been cleaned properly). Alternatively there are online products that you can use to help you clear any data.
