Acts Of Kindness

The Courier often, rightly, reflects excellent learning that has taken place during the week but as we proceed through the upcoming weeks of lockdown, we'd love to dedicate a section to small acts of kindness which Crescent children and families have committed to, to simply and safely enhance the lives of someone else.

Please do send examples/pictures to alanwebb@crescentschool.co.uk for inclusion next week and onwards.

With all best wishes.

Mr And Mrs Webb's Act Of Kindness

Last weekend Mrs Webb and I returned to our previous walking route with a small, hopefully cheery gift, for the lady who had waved at us.  We hope it made her smile.

Grace's Act Of Kindness

We were impressed to hear that Year 3 pupil Grace and her Mum have been writing letters and postcards for an initiative called Postcards Of Kindness.

The project involves writing to residents of care homes to combat loneliness and isolation. The postcards help remind the residents that there is always someone thinking of them.

Grace’s Mum said, “We would truly love for other school families to be involved. The residents love to receive letters, postcards or drawings and care homes from all over the country are involved. You are free to write to any that have chosen to be included. The idea is to combat loneliness and isolation and to remind the residents that people care about their wellbeing - even if they have never met them.”

If you would like to find out more about the initiative then follow the link here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PostcardsOfKindness

Assistant Head, Alan Webb, commented, “What a wonderful project, and such a kind and thoughtful thing for Grace to do.”
