Reception Round Up - 11 Sept

Class 2W children have quickly got back into the learning groove.  Some great maths going on here converting addition into subtraction and vice-versa.

Class 3Y had their science lesson outside this week in the lovely sunshine exploring the colours and shapes of petals.  Lots of studying of plants and drawing/colouring fun was had by all.

This week some Class 4M pupils started library club. They had a very busy time sorting the shelves as so many books had been returned after home learning.

In the following weeks they will be making sure our library is spick and span, recommending books for other pupils, choosing our Author of the Week, along with having lots of fun!!

I loved the thinking faces in English this week; this is when I know they are being safely challenged with their work.

The children enjoyed finding and sorting words with the 'ough' letter string and the different sounds they make.

The Forest School club (1S) made it outside today. We had great fun making sticky pallets. Each child had a piece of card with double-sided sticky tape on it and was asked to stick on the card anything they liked the look, feel or sound of. Some found leaves of different colours and textures, sticks of various sizes and feathers. Lilah even found a spoon!
